I bought a secondhand Calmini kit, and it wasn't hard to get the bushes out. Knoch the steel sleeve out, and put a screwdriver down the hole and knock the poly out. Was quite an easy job.

My calmini bushes have been fine - and as they're unique, not many options anyway! Remember, that they need greasing.

I'm sending a virtual *Slap* over to Ubermeister... red... honestly...

Mine are a lovely blue/black/rust colour! :))

Oh, those balljoint holes look like they'd match standard vitara balljoints.

went to my local car parts store and matched up the ball joints .. they are standard vitara...
£10.50+ vat each...
also while i was there i got some astra shocks.... £7.50+vat.... be rude not too....
stripped out the old trial master shocks ...and rebuilt the astra shocks with the old boots...
Image

because the old shocks were fatter i turned the boots around and used a rattle can lid to fatten up the top so the boot fitted... was rather chuffed with the outcome...
Image

Image

overall the ride is dramatically different from the trial master sport shocks... so much nicer....

then i came home and gave the front arms a lick of paint..well my little bro's gf did....

Image

seeing as im a pipefitter we had some yellow gas paint left so that was my reason for the colour

Hi, your GV looks like a good project car and ideal for laning. I've been looking at a few GV's for laning, I've got a couple of SWB 1.6 vitara's one of which I use mainly for laning but it's lacking a bit of power for the long trips round the Lakes, so I'm thinking to move up to something with a bigger engine. Have you done much off roading in yours yet?

I can can bet all the plastic trims aren't going to last long!
