 Re: AlfaVit Project
Managed to source some tyres today they are all terrains and 255 75 15 but they are pretty close to 31"s and they were only a fiver each so thet was the main attraction. Took them down to KTC where the trailer is. Also having removed a set of Daves spring spacers and some 1" custom spacers i had from the front of ECO i thought i would put them to good use, so went down and stuck them on the trailer. So now its got a 3" body lift and 2" suspension lift and shouild match the Vit (hopefully). Took some pics , cant see it very well due to other stuff being around. The draw bar (made from the original chassis rails which were left long and angled in to the centre) Still go the small tyres on until i get the matching wheel sprayed up. View from the front , cross piece made from 2x2" to brace the body. Front panel will be made from the roof panel of another Vit (recycling and all that) R

 Re: AlfaVit Project
Looking good Richie! Will it not be a bit top heavy and bouncy though? Are you going to tow a trailer behind your trailer? If not can I buy your tow hook? Go on, you know you want to..

 Re: AlfaVit Project
Want it to look the same as the Vit, so at some point i will give it a blow over with some Green. Hopefully got sa pair of arches on their way. Need a pair of wheel spacers. Im thinking of chopping out the rear crossmember and adding a box between the chassis rails where the petrol tank was. Just added the tow bar from the hardtop which sacrificed its roof before being scrapped. To add a bit of rear end protection and a step. R

 Re: AlfaVit Project
The one thats just been scrapped had some nice procomp type rear shocks on so they seem to have found their way onto the AlfaVit. Should control the bounce a bit. Ive got some normal Vit front springs in the garage here somewhere so will see what its like and if i have to swap them onto it they are way stiffer. R

 Re: AlfaVit Project
Managed to get two wheels sprayed up to match those on ECO, not the best paint job in the world as the cans were both running out , but near enough (ignore the paint on the tyres theyre comming off anyway). R
