Did you notice the winch is in the back?
The rope runs through that donut fairlead, under the passenger seat, through the firewall, along the Choi’s rail next to the engine and out the front! (Photo below)
The handle is to persuade the rope to spool evenly onto the drum...

So to winch forward you do as normal, only the winch is in the back...
To winch backwards you pull a loop off the drum and insert the snatch block from its mount -
Above the massive hawse fairlead that looks like a monkey’s face?!
There’s also the option to steady or self-right the buggy by taking a loop off the front of the winch and going up and out through the loop on the back of the roofline protector bars...
