indeed it is Kev :)

The engine is dead (and it did it in spectacular style!) so I need to decide which engine is going in it... it'll be modern, and a *BIT* more powerful than the 60hp lump that it came with... :)

MMMmmmmm... rootes :)

What do you reckon; Supercharged MX5 1.8 (200-250BHP), 1UZ V8 (250+ bhp) or VW TDI (130-150BHP withh MASSES of torque)?

That's after an epic weldathon on the sills...

I'd go VW, worthwhile checking rear axles of a modern with decent brakes.
Love mine, never welded.

It's got a Borg Warner auto box which makes the drive lovely

I drop in from time to time, last weekend I made a start on re-comissioning the Vitara but then put my back out moving a tonne of chicken feed.

Jimny is just going to be a tube buggy, going to lose all the body and make a tube body a bit like a uva fugitive, completely standard chassis and running gear, the tall Suzuki engine sitting way up over the axle screws up the body line too much so that will have to go to be replaced with something a lot lower like a flat four

Do you still have the X90 buggy I saw at yours that time I came? If I had the means to finish it I'd still love to have that off you.
