What colour? Decisions, decisions.

Post by ubermeister » Thu Jan 23, 2014 12:12 pm

I'm wanting to paint the new Übertruck, but I'm undecided about what colour. I'm just going to roller it with NATO paint, but do I do it green, desert sand, or battleship grey?

I voted for the grey.

Thinking about vinyl wrapping my cruiser in matt black. Then I can cut some grey decals to go on it.

Should have my vinyl cutter finally set up in the next few weeks. Moving to another workshop. :roll:

I voted Sand;

Green has been done; it's, Like, SOooooo 2005. =;

Grey *could* look like it's in primer, although I do like the colour, I've never seen it on a vit.

I voted grey.

Indeed it could look like its just a coat of primer though. Done right, i think it would look good on a vit.

I voted grey. I think you're right and it could well look like primer, although it will be a bit darker and satin not matt. I think it'll look good with my red Calmini.

There are four different shades of battleship grey used by NATO, ranging from a very dark grey to, what most people would refer to as, a light blue, which one are you considering?
Some Suzukis and a bunch of motorbikes

I voted Desert Sand...

Something different, and I think a Vit' would look good in desert drab...

The eBay listing I was looking at only calls one of them 'battleship grey', so I was going to go for that one just because of the name. I looks like the battleship grey they list is the darkest of the different greys, so it'll probably be that one.
