makes me laugh how this country panics on a skittering of snow lol =))

this country has never had proper snow in over 30 years, i remember
going to school in over a foot of snow , buses ran fine on a 6 mile country b road
journey. we had a list of schools closed up here yesterday and the
snow hadnt even come =))

sure some of you will be out playing ......PICTURES !

Loads of snow in Shropshire! :mexican:

Woke up to a few inches, and has continued to snow all day.

Off up the Long Mynd on sunday for some snow laning. When we went a few years ago there were drifts 6-8ft deep in places. Great fun repeatedly trying to ram our way through. \m/

Quite a bit of snow here. Had the day booked off due to picking up a puppy last night. Been out n about in the shogun and was great doing the same hilly loop and trying out the various 2wd vs 4wd options.

this is our 6 year old border terrier, bella.

shes great but since next doors 2 old dogs died a few months back she has been really fretting (they spent several hours a day together) so we thought the time may be right to get another dog.

anyway, long story short, i seen an ad for jack russell cross pups local to where i work in st helens. thought..just pop to have a look, cant do any harm?
found this little sweetie waiting there, in total squalor..utterly disgusting how she was being kept at just 7 week old. dont think she would have lasted during the cold of the last few days..so she came home with me :)

Image

had her vet checked yesturday and apart from being under weight and skin and bone shes fine. just gotta feed her up.

Of course you did Jamie. Can't have the pug feeling homesick, so good that part is taken care of now. :))

Heavy snow the past week. Actually even a few days before that. Is gonna be a blizzard on monday aswell, wich i have been awaiting with joy, might just be enough to keep them scared-poo-of-the-snow drivers at home. Hate driving to work after a scared driver doing 20 odd kph just because theres a bit of white on the side of the road.

Heres a wee pic from last weekend with the scouts in the woods (sort of). Only a foot of snow.

yep... and heavy as....

Cut a few of these "wheels". meant to be the gables of 2 new tables. The table-plank will be of the same tree, in full width, and about 20 cm's thick and just shy of 4 meters long. Still havent figured out just how to get those planks out the woods yet, but heyho.... :D

Yeh looks like a nice lump of concreat eh I mean oak. Will they be thick enough to support a plank/slab that big?

Cheers
