Still very much open.
I will be very surprised if it gets closed any time soon. Especially after theyve spent thousands getting rid of nearly all the gates and replacing them with cattle grids.
Also its rare to see ramblers on the lane, which means they cant photograph and complain about the terrible mess that has been made by people who dont stick to the right of way.
Im leading a group down it this weekend on a wild camping and laning weekend!

That sounds awesome, I'm quite envious. Once I'm settled in the new job I'm hoping to get a few weekends away wild camping and laning. Looking forward to not working Friday and Saturday nights, I haven't had a random weekend off in ten yearsBen wrote:...Im leading a group down it this weekend on a wild camping and laning weekend!
Walk softly, and drive a big Vit!

It is going to be a great trip!
camping in October?
Not an issue when you set a huge tarp up over the vehicles and all sit underneath with my portable log burner blasting heat out, good mates and a few cold beers!
Throw in the most challenging, extreme lanes that are legal to drive, and you end up with an awesome weekend!
If I remember I will post a link to my blog afterwards.

You can't beat a bit of cold weather camping, I love it. I was supposed to be going to Scotland this Sunday for a few days of bushcraft camping, fishing, canoeing and hunting, but I've got to do some training for the new job so can't make it now. I'm itching get out camping, haven't been in a few months.

Thanks. I used to teach bushcraft and outdoor skills for a company who also own that woodland, so a bit of a perk was access to the land 24/7.
