It's not all about lift.......BUT......!!!!!

Post by sae70 » Tue Mar 25, 2008 10:20 pm

I've been keeping a record of what peeps have done with regards to acheiving suspension lift :)

And here it is :D

These figures are the average of the front and rear ground to bottom of chassis rail measurements made as follows;

FRONT-In line with the center line of front body mount outrigger on the chassis rail

REAR-In line with the rear of the next body mount outrigger towards the back of the car (just in front of the rear tyre)

9" (standard Vit with standard tyres - 27" from ground to top of tyre)

11.5" (B4V 1.25" coil spacers + 10mm extra spacer in the rear with 30" tyres - 29" from ground to top of tyre) this is a LWB

13" (B4V 1.25" coil spacers & standard LWB GV springs with 235/75/15 tyres - 28.75" from ground to top of tyre)

14" (Calmini 3" suspension lift with 31x10.5x15 tyres - 30" from ground to top of tyre)

14.5" (B4V 1.25" coil spacers & LWB GV springs with 265/65/16 tyres - 32" from ground to top of tyre) this is a LWB

14.75" (B4V 1.25" coil spacers & OME +50mm SWB GV springs with 31x10.5x15 tyres - 30" from ground to top of tyre)

17.5" (live axle conversion using standard vit springs with 31" tyres)

20" (coiled sammy live axle conversion with 32" tyres)

I'm not suggesting for one moment that if you carry out the same mods on your truck that you will get the same results but it makes for an interesting read I thought :D

I think the info is accurate but if you recognise your set up and I've made a mistake PM me and I'll correct it :)

:lol: :lol: :lol:
