Post 235/75/15 What offset?
Looking at fitting the above size tyres, ive measured up the spare wheels I have and they appear to be 15X8J wellers (though this seems like a rare size that I cant find elsewhere), ET appears to be 0. But I will have to have a proper measure tomorrow.

Is this sort of offset acceptable on a midly lifted Vit? I think its lift 2" rear and 1.5" front. I dont mind giving stuff a bash to make them fit but I dont want to start cutting arches.

If they turn out to be 7J what sort of offset am I after?

wellers are very common in both 15x8 and 15x7.

standard et is around 50, et 0 would be a relatively deep rim, but should be okay.

your tyre size is very happy on a 7", and should be okay on an 8"
