Vitara snorkel question

Post by ubermeister » Thu Sep 04, 2014 8:02 pm

If I was building a snorkel, rather than buying one, what size diameter tubing would I need to use? Bear in mind it's a 306 d-turbo engined commercial.

Anything less than 2" could be considered restrictive... and would look a bit weedy too.

The bigger the better for an intake.

I have to agree with the 2" minimum ID. What size tubing are you thinking of using?
Some Suzukis and a bunch of motorbikes

I was thinking of using two and a half inch tubing, so an id of a little under that. Think it needs to be bigger?

You'll probably find your airbox is the most restrictive element.
