Post Update
Hello everyone, how are we all keeping?

Update.

Welded up the rear diff about 2 weeks ago.

Hmmm welded :D

Then i took it in a wood, to test it out. It worked well! Until i got stuck, then it just acted as a digger!

Started to get it out with a disco and a winch, at 8PM, it eventually came out at 11:30PM! (night offroading is interesting!)

The day after that i was due to enter in a fun winch challenge (even though i dont have a winch) but it decided to play up all day.
Over heating issues where the biggest pita, along with a failed starter motor!

I ended up getting 1 out of the 30 punches available  then decided to call it a day, and watched how its meant to be done (with winches)

Locking up the rear makes a world of difference :)

How do you like those hankooks? I've got them on both my zuks and love them, but has not seen many others with them.

And winches are cheap, you won't regret getting one :)

i would imagine a welded up diff is quite dangerous on the open road? especially in wet weather.

Would like to do it but dont want to increase tyre wear on the special tracks, I do to much road driving for a welded diff i think, Would kill tyres etc..

Would be a big difference off road though..

Cheers
