PHOTOBUCKET WORK-AROUND!! See our pics again!!!

Guys & gals. There is a wealth of info on here, unfortunately, much of it has Photobucket hosted pictures. There are workarounds for both firefox and chrome available for free that enable you to view linked photobucket accounts. I've used this one on chrome, and it works perfectly https://chrome.goo...

Re: I miss my off-roader

The old saying;

If you wish to drive into the desert, take a Landrover.

If you wish to drive back OUT of the desert, take a Toyota.

So it'll need a new chassis already.

Re: GV diff ratios

They'll be 4.8s mate :)

You can drop in 5.1s without too much hassle... you'll need a 26 spline front diff though.

Re: Samuri seats

Seats from an MX5 are a great choice, pretty supportive, and cheap. Look for the mk 2 (NB) facelift versions for most comfort.

Re: Photobucket changes?

Photobucket has royally screwed almost every forum, worldwide. They have changed their policy on third party website hosting, meaning that you can no longer link to photobucket account via forums, or ebay etc. If you want the ability to link to PB, you now need to pay $500 a year. No joke. Whilst th...

Re: Signing off... :(

Nice one Dave.

Sadly, Farcebook seems to be destroying forums (as well as photobuckets recent rape of photo hosting!). Not being on facebook makes me something of a social pariah, but I just can't do it.

So long, and thanks for all the fish.

Re: vitara v6

Yeah, it's a problem with ANY old car IMO.

There are rust free vits out there, you just have to be vigilant.

I've got a 1999 SWB vitara 4u, with a *few* mods. It's never been welded, and doesn't need any now. Rust free ones are out there!

Re: vitara v6

I've not had one, but here we go; Different front suspension arrangement *might* make things trickier. They're old = rust. I think its the cam chains that make the engine a bit of a gamble. if that doesn't bother you, or you can do it yourself, go for it, I think they're otherwise a pretty decent en...

Re: Vitara LWB vs SWB ?

Howdy. Mostly, there isn't much to choose between the two offroad, the suspension is essentially the same (except the V6). Now for the downer; I would only buy on condition. Rust kills these, and even the youngest vits are nealy 20 years old now. Find one with no rust and buy it, regardless of the n...
