Re: Hello!

Ooh, that's pretty. Makes me realise how I hardly even pop in any more. Still got the Old G.O.A.T., my lifted 5 door GV, and still get out camping in her as much as possible. I'll be in Wales in a couple of weeks, for a week of wild camping and 'laning. Looking forward to that. Other than that just ...

Re: Nice to see Ubermeister today! Impromtu Greenlaning

Had an ace time 'laning Dave, thank you. Still in Wales, currently outside of Aberystwyth somewhere, and still a couple of days to go.
Had and ace week. And what about that weather? Pics soon, hopefully.

Photobucket

Have Photobucket done a policy u-turn? It seems a lot of my Photobucket hosted pictures are viewable on the forum again.

GenerationX in 4x4 mag

This month's 4x4 magazine has an article about Simon's GenerationX lifted X90. Doesn't say anything about it being an old article, and it mentions Simon as having built it, so it's just a re-run of the old article. Guess there's a shortage of lifted trucks for them to feature at the moment. And I ha...

That looks proper that does. I like how 'factory' it looks with the carpet. Be good to see in use in Wales.

Re: GV Stubby mod

Thanks for the reply Dave. It's something I want to do, even though the truck doesn't see much serious off road. Want to do a steel axle as well.
In other news, I'm over your way in three weeks, so I hope you're stocked up on choc

Re: SNOW

We had a flurry. Me and Nacho Matt have a vague plan to go greenlaning the day before snow, in the hope of getting snowed in.

GV Stubby mod

Has anyone done a stubby mod in a Grand Vitara? Mine has a Jimnybits 3" lift kit, with associated diff drop brackets, and a set of 4xfourart tubular arms, and I'd like to do a steel axle/stubby shaft mod to it but I've heard there may be some clearance issues with the drop brackets. Anyone know? Dav...

Re: Hello?

I still pop in regularly, and post when I have something to say.
Currently on a laning and camping weekend around Southampton, I'll see about posting a few pics when I get back.

Re: Day-Trip to the Lake District

Good post Dave. Love your pictures, I always forget to take them when I'm laning. Maybe I need a proper camera, my phone is the perfect shape to drop it in a puddle if I stick it out of the window.
Looks a bit busy in the last picture (I've always wanted to camp at that spot).

The problem with new smart phone cameras...

...is that the photos they take are so damned big I can't post them on the forum. That isn't an improvement, bloody technology.
