I had the Commercial , (diesel , Peugeot 1.9) It came with 4.8s ( i thnk) and i fitted 5.12s to assit in re correcting the gearing as i had 31" tyres fitted.

Glad the guide helped. It is just a guide and there's a load of different ways to do most jobs. Yes I think the trolley jacks would work but be careful balancing the body and make sure you use chocks to catch it if it slips or the jacks roll.

Strangley in 'one car too far' they had an issue which they had to mend with a quirky fix in each episode (egg in leaky rad, wet twig as Ht lead etc). Im wondering whos going to cough having a pair of tights to fix the fan belt if its the same format. Ho ho.

I got the elusive Rob Storr to do mine , but have also assisted with a few waggle method fitments with Dave. Once to feel the slack you can replicate it, it handy to have a spare standard diff sitting around to to get the feel off whilst your doing it.

yes (well in 2001) the commercial, uses the Pug 1.9 diesel engine.

First one i didi was across roof rack side to side, similar to Kevs, next one i did was based on bike rack flange from spare wheel. Then changed it so it could take shovel.

They can be very good , but can be complete pain in the but, as they have lots of different parts which are unique to them, and main dealer only to replace. I got in Halfords and couldnt remember so bought both. The ring spanners with the slit in them you mean. Its ages since i did mine sorry.
